Have You Asked Jesus into Your Heart?

Every person stands in need of salvation, because Scripture says, “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Sin brings separation and death, and no one can remove that guilt by personal effort, goodness, or religious works, for “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). But God, in love, provided the Savior we could not provide for ourselves: “while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Because Jesus died and rose again, the way of salvation is now open to all who believe. When the heart truly believes that God raised Jesus from the dead, and the mouth confesses Him as Lord, Scripture declares that salvation is received: “with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:10). Therefore, to say in faith, “Jesus is my Lord,” is not an empty phrase, but the outward confession of a heart that believes, and “whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).

Salvation Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner, and I ask You to forgive me.
I believe that You died on the cross and rose again for my salvation.
I confess You as my Lord and Savior.
Come into my heart, forgive me, and make me new.
I surrender my life to You.
Thank You for saving me. Amen.
Take my life and do something with it.
