James 1:27 Fund: Take a Kid Shopping
Take a Kid Shopping
Take a Kid Shopping 2026:
This heartfelt program offers preteens or teens—many of whom have never chosen their own clothing—the chance to go shopping for new clothes and shoes. Each child is given a board approved budget at an age‑appropriate retailer, and afterward, we let them choose a restaurant for a special meal. Clothing helps children feel accepted among peers, and making their own selections builds confidence, autonomy, and decision‑making skills. This initiative is especially meaningful because of its self‑esteem‑building impact.
