Shoe Drive

Shoe Drive ages 4-11

Nearly 36% of American children live in poverty. For a family of four, their income is less than $32,150 per year.

After covering essentials like rent, groceries, and healthcare, many families simply don’t have anything left for new items like coats or shoes. This often leaves kids with old coats and shoes that don’t fit—making it harder for them to feel confident, stay active, and thrive.

I’m taking action in DeSoto Parish Louisiana and Shelby County Texas by raising funds to gift brand-new shoes and socks to children ages 4-11 in our community. Depending on the funds we collect One Accord Prayer Association can partnered with Operation Warm, a national nonprofit that provides warmth, confidence, and hope through basic need programs that connect under-resourced children to the community resources they need to thrive.

A new pair of shoes boosts self-esteem, encourages outdoor play, and helps kids feel proud and included. Your gift will empower them to thrive.

Every dollar makes a difference—and every child deserves the confidence that comes from a new pair of shoes.

The process is fast, easy, and secure. I hope you’ll join me in making a meaningful impact!

Shoe Drive

Our Action Plan

One Accord Prayer Association will purchase the shoes and distribute them directly to families. We will partner with local daycares and secure designated spots in the parking lots of retail stores—such as Walmart in Mansfield, Louisiana, and Center, Texas—for distribution events. Walmart, with whom we partner through their SparkGood program, offers a simple process for requesting event space in their parking lots.

At each event, parents will complete a brief intake form for documentation, children will be fitted for their correct size, and each child will receive one pair of shoes.

If you would like to join us in distributing shoes, we welcome your involvement. Once dates and locations are confirmed, we will announce the details on our social media pages. We hope to partner with you soon to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children in our community.
