Grace is a sound:
Grace Merriam-Webster
reference 7 (below): a musical trill, turn, or appoggiatura.
In music theory appoggiatura is a type of “grace note”. A grace note is a kind of music notation used to denote several kinds of musical ornaments, in other words grace notes allow creative expression and creative expressions trigger emotion or yearning.
Pronunciation:
…from the Italian verb appoggiare, "to lean upon". The appoggiatura always falls on the beat and is a non chord note; often used to express emotional "yearning".
Definition of appoggiatura
: an embellishing note or tone preceding an essential melodic note or tone and usually written as a note of smaller size.
(It’s the tini tiny notes pictured)
It transforms the word Amazing into A(ah)mazing.
We are talking about “Grace is a sound”. How Sweet the Sound is not just a tagline in a song it reverberates through heaven. “Hear” John 3:16 as the appoggiatura of the gospel. A clear tone that emphasizes the work of Christ and its purpose. Then “hear” the day of Pentecost as the appoggiatura, essential melodic note, of the book of Acts that ignited The Church and breathes life into us still today.
Cry GRACE-Zec 4:7(KJV):
4:7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
We all know and believe Mark 11:24 (pray, believe and it’s yours) but what happens when there is something we believe for it doesn’t work out as expected. What happens when we are made weaker because of “Hope is deferred makes the heart sick” (Proverbs 13:12).
We need grace more than ever in those times. “Lean upon'' (appoggiare upon) God’s grace, find grace at the throne. Heb 4:16(KJV):
4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (you come, you find).
Take time today, lean in; don’t wait. run to the Father and cry grace (Zechariah 4:7 says with shoutings, plural) over those things in your life that did not turn out as expected! “Cry grace” over disappointment, heart ache, ongoing situations or things that are already gone/cannot be changed (emotional pain, hurtful word, disappointment, grief).
Let the presence of God come over you, don’t wait, release with shoutings, creative expression as Holy Spirit leads, a cry of grace to your situation.
Relationships; Grace and Salt: Don’t let hurtful things come “flying” out of your mouth (Ephesians 4:29-30) because the supply of grace in a relationship is a sound (reference below-Grace is a sound), a musical note in the “key” of love in harmony with everyone around.“Hold” what you need to say, don’t say “it in the heat of the moment” because it will be in the wrong tone, wait until you can hit the right note and add some salt so it is palatable (Colossians 4:6).
Eph 4:29-30(KJV):
4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Col 4:6(KJV):
4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man
